OnePlus 7T is now official, after all the leaks and rumors, finally, the smartphone was launched at an event in New Delhi today. OnePlus 7T is the successor to the OnePlus 7, which was launched about four months ago. Also, it is worth mentioning that this is the first-ever ‘T Series’ OnePlus smartphone to get major upgrades in terms of display, camera, and charging.
OnePlus 7T: Display and Performance
The OnePlus 7T comes with a 6.55-inch Optic AMOLED (2400 x 1080 pixel) fluid display with a waterdrop notch display, 20:9 aspect ratio. This time its a 90Hz refresh rate display with HDR10+ certification. OnePlus has added a new feature called chromatic reading mode which desaturates color for better reading experience. Under the hood, OnePlus 7T is powered the latest Snapdragon 855+ processor clocked at 2.96GHz coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. OnePlus 7T comes in two variants – 8+128GB and 8+256GB. It comes with UFS 3.0 flash storage for faster data transfer and app loading. It packs in a 3800mAH battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T fast charging support(23% faster compared to 7 Pro) via USB Type-C port. To keep the device cool during charging and extreme gaming, the 7T comes with a new graphite heat sync pipe. Also, OnePlus 7T is the first smartphone in the world to come out-of-the-box with Android 10 based on OxygenOS 10.
New Oxygen OS Features
OnePlus Gallery app now comes with 5GB OnePlus cloud storage for all OnePlus users and for the first year, users will get additional 50GB of cloud storage. Work-Life balance feature allows you to categorize your apps to Work/Life mode and the app notifications won’t arrive when you’re in Life/Work mode respectively at Home/Office. OnePlus also announced that they will bring OnePlus Pay sometime later next year. OnePlus International Roaming will offer easy activation, offline access, and will be cost-effective. And, finally, the OnePlus messaging app will automatically categorize the messages you get.
OnePlus 7T: Camera
In terms of optics, OnePlus 7T comes with a circle triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor powered by Sony IMX586, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 16MP 117-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor. It houses a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera also comes with a 2.5cm macro lens motor and also super stabilization mode for videos.
Furthermore, the device comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner along with support for Face Unlock. Other features of the OnePlus 7T include – new haptic motor, dual stereo speakers up front, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi(2.4+5Ghz), NFC, Alert Slider, Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, dual Stereo Speakers upfront with Dolby Atmos.
