Huawei Watch GT Active

After launching Huawei Watch GT and Watch GT Sports Band Edition back in March 2019, the company today announced its latest wearable,  Huawei Watch GT Active here in India. Just like the previous two GT smartwatches, the new Huawei Watch GT Active also runs on the company’s own OS and not Google’s WearOS.

The Watch GT Active comes with a 1.39 inch(454 x 454 pixels) AMOLED color display which supports slide and touch gestures. It comes in two color options, either Orange or Green Silicone strap. The smartwatch is water-resistant and is rated up to 50m under the water. On the connectivity front, the watch supports Bluetooth v4.2, there is no Wi-Fi or NFC support.

Coming to the sensors, it packs in Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, Optical Heart Rate, Ambient Light, Barometer Sensors. It is compatible with Android 4.4 or later, iOS 9.0 or later. Huawei Watch GT Active is packed with a 420mAH battery and the company promises a 14 days battery life with typical usage and it takes less than 2 hours to fully charge the watch.

The watch can monitor heart rate and sleep while supporting a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities using a self-learning algorithm and innovative sensors. It also has a new Triathlon mode that can record the entire triathlon, including the transition time. The watch also provides coaching in introductory to advanced running courses to assist one in real-time while also offering guidance training and time-movement effect feedback.

Huawei TruSleep 2.0 identifies common sleep-related issues and provides more than 200 potential suggestions to help you sleep better. Also, the watch will show notifications of any messages, phone calls, alarms or set reminders
