HMD Global has announced a new budget smartphone in India today – Nokia 2.2. The Nokia 2.2 comes with a dedicated Google Assistant Button, as seen on the Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 and is part of the Android One project. The Nokia 2.2 will also get the latest Android Q update when it is made available and will be one of the most affordable smartphones to receive the update.
The Nokia 2.2 comes with a 5.71-inch HD+ 19:9 display with a notch, it is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor. It comes with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16/32GB Internal storage, microSD card support up to 400GB. It is running on Android 9.0 Pie and is packed with a 3000mAH battery. Also, the device misses out on the fingerprint scanner but, there is Face Unlock on both the variants.
In the camera department, the Nokia 2.2 packs in a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, AF, 1/3” 1.12um, LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Other features include a 4G, VoLTE, 3.5mm Headphone Jack, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, microUSB port.
