Samsung Galaxy S9

The Mobile World Congress 2018 recently concluded in Barcelona, Spain and there were many new announcements from several manufacturers across the globe. Samsung announced the much-awaited Galaxy S9 and S9+ with dual aperture camera, Nokia announced a new Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835 SoC and 2 new Android One devices and Android Oreo(Go Edition), Nokia 1 and Nokia 8110 4G. LG announced the LG V30S ThinQ, which is an upgraded version of the V30. Also, there were many more launches happened at the event and we are listing out all of them in this post.

Asus Zenfone Max(M1) and Zenfone 5 Lite

Apart from announcing the Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5Z at the MWC 2018, Asus also introduced the lite variant of the 5, Zenfone 5 Lite and the Max variant, which is centered on the battery. Both the smartphones come with Full HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display, they are powered by Snapdragon processors. They run on Android 8.0 Nougat with ZenUI 5.0 on top. Also, both of them have a dual camera setup at the rear and comes with a fingerprint scanner. The pricing of these smartphones is yet to be announced.   Mobile World Congress 2018 Round-up

Huawei MediaPad M5

Huawei announced the Huawei MateBook X Pro with 13.9-inch FullView display, 8th gen Intel core processor and also released the first 5G customer-premises equipment at the MWC. Also, they announced the Huawei MediaPad M5 with a 10.8-inch/8.4-inch 2K curved displays, Android 8.0 Oreo, and 4G LTE support. Here are the specification and features of the tablets. The Huawei MediaPad M5 (10) also has pogo pins on the back for keyboard support.

The MediaPad M5(10) starts at US$ 429, the MediaPad M5(10) starts at US$ 490 and will be available from March in European countries, and the US.

Lenovo Yoga 720 and Yoga 530

Lenovo introduced 2 new Yoga models at the event, the Yoga 720 and the Yoga 530. These models come with Alexa voice support and are powered by the 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processors, optional Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics.  The Yoga 720 comes in 2 variants: a 13-inch and 15-inch UHD (3840×2160) IPS touchscreen display and the Yoga 530 2-in-1 come with a 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen display. Both laptops will come with an optional Lenovo Active Pen 2 with 4,096 levels of sensitivity to write, draw, or annotate with Windows Ink. They also come with fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello. Mobile World Congress 2018 Round-upFurther, they also come with JBL speakers and Dolby Atmos immersive audio. The Lenovo 15-inch Yoga 730 weighs 1.89 kg and 1.12 kg for the 13-inch model. The 14-inch Yoga 530 weighs 1.6 kg. In the battery department, Lenovo claims up to 11.5 hours on the 13-inch model and up to 11 hours on the 15-inch variant of Yoga 730. It also supports Rapid Charge which can deliver 2 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charge on both the Yoga 530 and 13-inch Yoga 730.

The Lenovo Yoga 730 13-inch model with Lenovo Active Pen 2 start at EUR 999 (INR 80,000 approx) and will be available from April. The Yoga 730 15-inch model with Lenovo Active Pen 2 starts at EUR 1,099 (INR 87,920 approx) and also will be available in April. The 14-inch Yoga 530 will start at EUR 549 (INR 43,900 approx.) and will be available in June.
