Sony Walkman

Sony has announced a new Sports Walkman in India which is dust and water resistant with IP65/68 rating. The Walkman comes with Bluetooth and NFC support, it is more suitable for outdoor conditions and also for sports enthusiasts. The new Sports Walkman is priced at INR 8,990 and are available since June 15, 2017, at all Sony Center stores across India.

The Walkman allows the user to swim to a depth of 2 meters with up to 30 minutes of submerged time. Also, it is dustproof, it can withstand small particles making it ideal for any sand based activity or a run along the beach. It also comes with standard earbuds and specially designed waterproof earbuds that are covered with a thin film to prevent water damage to the Walkman. The Walkman can endure extreme temperatures from -5°C to 45°C, making it ideal for a hike or climb.Sony WalkmanIt weighs at just 32gms and features an ergonomic, slim and light design that stays in place no all the time. By enabling the Ambient Sound Mode, one can stay in touch with the surroundings and utilize nifty in-built microphones to pick up external voices and sounds in the surrounding environment. The battery on the Walkman will give up to 12hrs of listening and also a quick 3minute charge will give you an hour of playback.
