The wait for next smartphone from OnePlus is almost over, OnePlus has announced that their next smartphone, the OnePlus 5 will be unveiled on 20th June at 9:30 PM IST and India launch will be separately held in Mumbai on 22nd June at 2 PM.
In a forum post yesterday, David Y, Community Manager at OnePlus said ” Join us live at 12:00 PM EDT on June 20 for the exclusive online reveal of the OnePlus 5. During our official keynote, we’ll talk at length about what makes the OnePlus 5 special. But, the celebrations don’t end there! Following our keynote, we hope to see you at our pop-up events around the globe”
Today morning, Vikas Agarwal, OnePlus India Head said ” June 22nd is the day to watch out for, and that for the first time ever, we’ll be broadcasting our launch event LIVE from NSCI Dome, Mumbai on June 22nd (2 PM onwards), in line with our tradition of launching our flagship devices in all our key markets simultaneously”
For those of you who will not able to make it to Mumbai, don’t fret. OnePluswillbe hosting pop-ups across various Indian cities, the details of which will be announced in the coming days.
OnePlus 5 Image Leaked
OnePlus 5’s image was leaked online yesterday night, In the image, we can clearly see the dual rear camera and also the alert slider, which is one of the unique features of OnePlus. Also, there is no sign of fingerprint scanner at the rear, so that will stay on the front of the device. Previously, OnePlus had confirmed that the device will come with a Snapdragon 835 processor.
OnePlus 5 will be Exclusive to Amazon in India, comes with 8GB of RAM
No surprise here, as we have seen previous 4 OnePlus devices on Amazon, today Amazon has a new landing page for OnePlus 5, which also reveals that the smartphone will be coming with 8GB of RAM!!(Thanks to Evan).
