During the ongoing MWC, Coolpad has announced the CoolPad Cool S1 smartphone. The Cool S1 is made in collaboration with Harman-Cardon bring two stereo speakers to the smartphone, making it the highlight of the CoolPad Cool S1. During the MWC, Harman officially rewarded Coolpad the authentication certificate on high-quality sound, which is the first certificate that Harman issues to a smartphone brand.
The newly launched smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS display, it is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The Cool S1 comes in 4GB/6GB RAM and 64/128GB inbuilt storage options with no support for sd card. S1 has equipped with Xunyou mobile game accelerator, which can avoid the unstable network and make it smoother.
In the photography department, the Coolpad Cool S1 sports a 16-megapixel rear with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with company’s own custom EUI. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it comes with a USB Type-C slot. To power all the internals it packs a 4,070 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. Coolpad claims it can last at least 4 hours in playing 3D mobile games.
The Cool S1 sensors include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The smartphone will come with a Harman Kardon earphone as a gift, which is worth 99 Euros. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM.
During MWC, Peter Liu, VP & GM of Harman Embedded Audio, attended the con-interview with Coolpad. Referring to the cooperation with Coolpad, Peter contended that it is the brand recognition that promoted the cooperation. Both of the two companies regard the satisfaction of users as their ultimate obligation, not only in necessary requirement but also in deep motivation. S1 is just the beginning, we can expect more elaborate products in the future.
