TikTok starts testing 'TikTok

TikTok starts testing ‘TikTok Stories’ to rival Snapchat and Instagram. TikTok is a popular short video making app across the world and everybody is aware of it. TikTok starts testing ‘Tiktok Stories’ just like other social media platforms adapt this story-based feature. Tiktok Stories allows creators to post short videos which automatically disappear after 24 hours just like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, or other social media platforms. Tiktok Stories is in the testing phase so it’s only available for few chosen creators. It works the same as others’ temporary-story format, by swiping right on the home feed we can access it, and then stories will disappear after 24 hours like any other social platforms’ temporary story format does. Users can share bite-sized content on TikTok.

To create a story, you have to click on that freshly added ‘Create’ button which is at the left-side-top of the screen. You can also add texts, captions, and music to your video to make it more attractive and fun.

“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Currently, we’re experimenting with ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community,” a spokesperson stated in a statement to The Verge.

Tiktok confirmed this feature when Matt Navarra spotted it first and shared it over Twitter.

Users can watch stories of creators by going to their profiles and clicking on their stories. Users can react or comment on their stories, but there’s a thing that users can only share videos on the stories, not pictures/images. Only Snapchat had the temporary stories format at first. After that other apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, etc. also added that feature. As we know it’s only available to selected creators because of testing purposes. We still don’t know when TikTok will roll out this feature to us. This feature might help TikTok to gain more users all over the world.
