Vivo launches Y72

Vivo launches Y72, their first 5G Smartphone in the Y-Series Line-up. The device is priced at INR 20,990 and it offers an 8GB+4GB expandable RAM feature too. It will be available in two colour options— Prism Magic and Slate Gray on Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store, and across all partner retail stores too.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Nipun Marya, Director- Brand Strategy, Vivo India said, “Vivo’s youthful Y-series is designed for millennials who are on the search for a smartphone that meets their expectations for an immersive experience. To cater to that, we bring Vivo Y72 with the latest 5G connectivity, so our customers are always at the forefront. Additionally, the all-new Y72, like its predecessors, offers best-in-class features giving customers a premium experience. With this launch, we continue to build a strong portfolio providing customers with a vast selection of smartphones across price points and an unmatched shopping experience.”

As for the device itself, it gets a 6.58-inch FHD+ (2400*1080) 90hz display that supports high colour saturation. There is also a side fingerprint sensor while offering a slim 5.71 mm thin frame, with a lightweight bodyweight of 185.5g and thickness of just 8.4 mm. 

Under the hood, the device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G Mobile SoC and for the memory, Vivo has also added an Extended RAM feature that means it provides extra ROM space up to 4GB that can be used as RAM. While for the battery and charging it gets a big 5000mAh battery and support for 18W Flash Charge too.

In terms of optics, the device gets a dual-camera setup with a 48MP along with a 2MP Bokeh camera. The camera system is packed with features like Super Night Mode, Personalized portraits, Face Beauty for video calls, and Super HDR to enhance your photography experience. Also, the smartphone comes with the latest Funtouch OS 11.1 which is based on the latest Android 11.
