OnePlus TV 40Y1 to launch

OnePlus TV 40Y1 to launch in India on May 24. This new upcoming OnePlus TV 40Y1 would sit in between the already launched TV models. According to many reports, this could be priced accordingly then. It is said that this new TV would be offered at a slightly cheaper price tag than OnePlus TV 43Y1 which is Rs. 26,999 on the company’s website.

As for the specifications of the TV, while there isn’t much info available, we do have some leaked specifications. The new OnePlus TV 40Y1 would be powered by a 64-bit processor, about which we don’t have all the details. It would run on Android TV 9-based OxygenPlay, and would feature a 40-inch full-HD with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. Some teasers show that it would have 93% coverage of DCI-P3 colour gamut and Gamma Engine picture enhancer. The TV will also be offering programmed tokens of most recent TV shows and films through their Content Calendar.

The TV would feature the usual inbuilt Chromecast and it may also support Alexa and Google Assistant. As the TV is an Android TV, it would also offer Google Play store access, that means there would be a lot of games and apps to download. There would be the preloaded apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube too. 

As for the connectivity options, this new OnePlus TV is teased to come with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v5. There are two 20W speakers on board with Dolby Audio support. The ports incorporate one Ethernet port, RF association input, two HDMI ports, one AV In, one advanced sound yield, and two USB ports.
