Lenovo also gives a commitment to COVID-19 Relief in India. They would also be supporting employees, partners and customers in their efforts to stay safe. Lenovo has committed INR 8 crores towards COVID-19 relief to meet India’s short-term and long-term requirements, via the Lenovo Foundation.

The 5 crores INR will be donated in the form of medical equipment consisting of oxygen concentrators, refillable oxygen cylinders, invasive ventilators and oximeters are being donated to hospitals where the need is high. Whereas, the remaining INR 3 crores will be dedicated to hospital extensions and supporting medical frontline workers.
They are in partnership with the America India Foundation for setting up hospital extension facilities in state government hospitals in Gurugram and Bangalore. These are prefabricated mobile air-conditioned hospital facilities with ICU beds, ventilators and oxygen concentrators. Also, they said that they are also in partnership with Yuva Unstoppable. As they are supporting frontline workers in hospitals with food kits in Ahmedabad across ambulance attendants, wards boys, safai karmacharis, nurses etc.

This is not the first time, Lenovo is doing something like this. Last year, Lenovo pledged INR 53 lakhs to support migrant workers through food kits, mask donations. Lenovo also supported the migrant workers in partnership with Give India for digital skill development to enable them to find jobs. Lenovo also supported its partner NGOs such as Meghshala, Agastya Foundation, and several others with devices to enable digital education for underprivileged children across states.
