Realme launches the Realme 8 5G phone with Dimensity 700 SoC in India. This device has officially become the cheapest 5G to be launched in India. It comes with a high-refresh-rate display and even more.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Madhav Sheth, Vice President, realme and Chief Executive Officer, realme India and Europe said, “At realme, bringing cutting-edge and emerging technology to our customers has always been a priority. Staying true to its goal as a 5G Leader, we have launched our first 5G smartphone in number series. While the realme 8 5G series is just one step towards realizing this vision, we have big plans to make 5G-enabled smartphones widely available. We will bring more 5G smartphones to every Indian in a variety of price ranges. With the realme 8 5G, users can experience speed to infinity thanks to India’s first MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor. As a 5G leader, realme will keep on democratizing 5G models to various price segments to make it affordable for a massive number of users”.
As for the phone now, it features a 6.5-inch with a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum 180Hz sampling rate. The display comes with 2400×1080 FHD+ resolution, up to 180Hz touch sample rate, 600 nits brightness peak, and 16.7 million screen colors.
Under the hood, the realme 8 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G Processor. It uses a 7nm production processor, which is up to 28% more power-efficient than an equivalent 8nm process. Along with it, the phone gets the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 with 950MHz clock speed and supports a 90Hz high refresh rate screen. It also supports 5G Dual SIM Dual Standby and SA/NSA that covers the mainstream 5G frequency band. For the battery and charging, the phone comes with a 5000mAh massive battery. It comes with an 18W type-C quick charge through which the 5000mAh battery can be fully charged rapidly.
In terms of optics, the phone comes with a 48MP Nightscape Camera, with a 48MP Ultra HD Main Camera, a B&W portrait lens, and a macro lens. The primary camera uses 48MP Ultra HD Main Camera and comes with an F1.8 aperture, 80° FOV, and 6P lens. The camera also consists of a B & W Portrait lens which comes with the new color filter system that enables the portrait lens to detect a more comprehensive array of light. There is a Macro lens in the camera that enables users to get closer and discover the beauty of the micro world with a 4cm shooting distance. For the front, the
phone comes with a 16MP AI Beauty Selfie. It comes with features such as a brand-new beauty algorithm.
As for the pricing and availability, the Realme 8 5G is available in two colors, Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black. The phone comes in 2 variants, the 4GB+128GB is priced at INR 14999 and would be available from 12 P.M., April 28. It would be available at realme.com, Flipkart, and other mainline channels. Whereas, the 8GB+128GB of this phone is priced at INR 16999.
