iQOO launches its 7 series of phones with prices starting at Rs. 31,990. The maker says that the “iQOO 7 series promises to bring ultimate performance, lag-free mobile gaming and multi-media entertainment experiences to consumers in India.”

Commenting on the launch, Gagan Arora, Director- Marketing – iQOO said, “Our endeavour at iQOO is to provide powerful products that bring ultimate joy and excitement to our tech savvy consumers. With the iQOO 7 series we have taken a step further in that direction. Running on the leading 8 series Snapdragon processor, powerful battery, and liquid cooling technology, the iQOO 7 series is a true flagship.
As for the phones now, both the iQOO 7 Legend and the iQOO 7 come with a 120Hz refresh rate screen. They both can go up to 1000Hz sampling rate with 300Hz report rate by using the new Super Touch Acceleration function. The feature allows users to experience an ultra-high refresh rate with advanced screen touch response. According to iQOO, the phone will perform well in competitive scenarios where every movement is crucial to coming out on top. iQOO has also given special attention to the audio this time. The iQOO 7 series is equipped with a new Monster Beat Surround Sound Stereo system with dual speakers. They complete with Hi-Res Audio certification too. In addition to this, the speakers can provide 3D surround sound.
Under the hood, the iQOO 7 Legend comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC. The phone also comes with LPDDR5 RAM for faster sequential read and write speed. Whereas, the iQOO 7 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC for more smooth visual effects and vivid colours. Both smartphones also feature V6 UFS 3.1 memory chip too. There is also an Extended RAM function within the iQOO 7 series, as 3GB of ROM have been re-allocated to be added upon 8GB of RAM, allowing apps to run simultaneously with minimal lag and sufficient storage space.
As for the battery and charging, both the phone comes with 66W FlashCharge technology. On the battery front, the iQOO 7 Legend comes with a 4000mAh battery, while the iQOO 7 comes with a 4400mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the iQOO 7 series boasts a triple rear-camera setup. Both devices come with a 48MP main camera and a 13MP super wide-angle macro camera. The iQOO 7 is equipped with a 2MP mono camera while the iQOO 7 Legend has a 13MP 50mm Pro Portrait Lens. In terms of stabilization, Optical Image Stabilization is present in the 48MP main camera. iQOO has also added image capturing to improve Night Vision, Pro-sport Mode and long exposure scenarios.
Now for the pricing, the iQOO 7 is priced at Rs. 31,990 (8GB+128GB), Rs. 33,990 (8GB+256GB) and Rs. 35,990 (12GB+256GB) variant. The phone is available in two colour options- Storm Black and Solid Ice Blue. Whereas, the iQOO 7 Legend is priced at INR 39,990 (8GB+128 GB) and INR 43,990 (12GB+256GB). As for the availability, all the variants will be available to pre-order starting May 1, 2021, on Amazon and iQOO.com.
