MobiKwik which is a popular payments app has suffered from a Data Breach with details of a total of 8TB in size. It carries data of more than 10 crores Indian and includes stuff like Email, Phone, Pan Card and more.

With this breach, the following things mentioned below are in the total data of 8TB.

  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Aadhar Card
  • Pan Card
  • Debit/Credit Card
  • Other KYC document

If you’re a user of this app and want to check if you’re data is safe, then you should follow the steps mentioned below-

  • Install Tor Browser from the link mentioned here.
  • After that is done, you would need to copy the link that is mentioned below and paste it in the search bar of the browser.

  • You can now press enter and it will direct you to the site.
  • From here on you can follow the steps mentioned below and check if you’re data is safe or not.

It is recommended that every Mobikwik should change their password as otherwise, as there data would then be visible to others.

According to reports by Deccan Herald, Mobikwik has denied any data breach in its servers. One of Mobikwik’s spokespeople told Deccan Herald that, “Some security researchers have repeatedly attempted to present concocted files wasting precious time of our organization. We thoroughly investigated and did not find any security lapses. Our user and company data is completely safe and secure.”
