Poco has announced a new budget smartphone in India, which is the Poco M3. It is a budget centric device, which was being teased for being launched for a long time by Poco. 

Commenting on the launch, Anuj Sharma, Country Director, POCO India said, “In its first year, POCO has created many milestones and connected with the more connected, smarter audience. Within 10 months of becoming independent, we became the 3rd largest online smartphone player in India. This is a testimony of the consumers’ overwhelming endorsement of our brand’s philosophy – ‘everything you need, nothing you don’t’. The launch of POCO M3 is our effort to elevate the brand further, offering enthusiasts cutting-edge technology coupled with best-in-class looks.”

In terms of the specs which it offers, this boasts a 16.58cm (6.53) Full HD+ display with a very tall 19:5:9 aspect ratio. This display has a resolution of 2340 x 1080p and also comes with features like TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. The display is protected with the Gorilla Glass 3 and it also contains a screen protector and a case within the box.

Moving towards performance, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chip inside with the Adreno 610 GPU. For the RAM and Storage, it comes in 2 different variants, which are 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The 6+64GB variant comes with the UFS 2.1 storage. However, the 6+128GB variant comes with UFS 2.2 storage. 

Now for the battery and charging department, it packs in a massive 6000mAh battery, and even with that massive battery, the phone weighs just 197grams. For the charging, it bundles up an 18W Fast Charger within the box. 

In terms of optics, the phone has a triple rear camera setup, with the main one being a 48-megapixel one. And the other 2 cameras being, 2-megapixel for Depth and Macro lenses. For the front, the phone grips an 8-megapixel snapper. 

The camera offers features such as movie frames, time-lapse, night mode, etc. The front camera, nevertheless, also allows users to unlock the phone with the Face Unlock technology inside it.

One of the main highlights of this phone is that, rather than the regular mono speakers. It comes with a pair of stereo speakers, which is not seen in this price range. It comes in three different colour options as well, which are Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow.

Now for the price, the Poco M3 is priced at INR 10,999 for the 6+64GB variant and INR 11,999 for the 6+128GB variant. The first sale of this phone will be on 9th February at 12 noon. Poco India has also announced some bank offers on ICICI Bank credit cards and EMI, buyers will get an additional INR 1,000 off. Which will bring the effective cost down to INR 9,999 and INR 10,999 respectively for the 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants.
