Union Budget is presented on 1st February every year before the government materializes it at the beginning of the new financial year in April.
This year, the government has decided to go into the paperless form. So the NIC (National Informatics Centre) has developed an app named Union Budget Mobile App. This app will help all the stakeholders provide very quick and hassle-free access to the Union Budget info.
This app is available on both mobile platforms, which are Android and iOS. The app is available in both Hindi and English language, so users from different states will not have any difficulties while accessing the documents. Talking more about the features that are offered by this app. We receive support for downloading, printing, searching, zooming in and out, bidirectional scrolling, table of contents and external links, and more such great features.
This downloading feature will help to download the documents selected by users locally. This will be a very useful feature, as they can access it any time and even when they are not connected to the internet.
The app will have all the 14 different sets of documents provided by the Government in the budget. Those documents will include the Annual Financial Statement which is commonly known as Budget. Demand for Grants (DG), all the Finance Bill, and the other documents which are prescribed by the government.
All the budget documents can be accessed by the users after the speech of the Finance Minister. The download link for the app, for both iOS and Android, is mentioned below for users to download. How to use the app:
After users have downloaded the app, accessing the budget documents is fairly easy too. As they just need to follow the steps mentioned below-
- Open the Union Budget App which they just downloaded.
- After the app is opened, click on the “Enter” button to proceed.
- Now, users can look for any of the documents they want.
Users will be redirected and the document which they have selected will open. Also if they are not comfortable with the default language, which is English, then there is an option to change it to Hindi too. For that, they will just need to click on the language toggle and select Hindi as language, which will then change the full interface of the app.
