S21

Samsung on Thursday introduced three new Galaxy S21 smartphones namely the Galaxy S21, the S21+ and the S21 Ultra. These new smartphones pack in top-of-the-line hardware and will soon be making their way to India. Samsung Galaxy S21 series Indian prices have been announced and the series will go on sale starting January 29 in India.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Specifications

S21

The Samsung Galaxy S21 sports a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 421ppi pixel density along with HDR10+ certification, Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield, and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate which adjusts the refresh rate between 48-120Hz dynamically. Under the hood, the Galaxy S21 is being powered by the newly announced octa-core Exynos 2100 SoC in India coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

As for the cameras, there’s a triple rear camera setup comprising of a secondary 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angled lens with an FoV of 120 degrees; a 12-megapixel primary Dual Pixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens and finally a 64-megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus, hybrid optic 3x zoom, and FoV of 76 degrees through an f/2.0 lens. The tertiary sensor is also equipped with optical image stabilisation (OIS). On the front, the S21 packs in a 10-megapixel f/2.2camera sensor at the front for selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 will be available in 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage options. Other Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port along with a bunch of sensors namely accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, geomagnetic sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Additionally, the phone also comes with an all-new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on One UI based on Android 11.

There’s a 4,000mAh powering the device with support for USB PD 3.0 fast charging, along with Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 at 10W as well as Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy S21 has been priced at Rs. 69,999 for the base variant composing of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, while the 256GB storage option’s price tag is Rs. 73,999

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 394PPI pixel density along with HDR10+ certification, Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield, and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate which adjusts the refresh rate between 48-120Hz dynamically. Under the hood, the Galaxy S21+ is being powered by the newly announced octa-core Exynos 2100 SoC in India coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

There’s a 4,800mAh battery on the Galaxy S21+ with support for fast wired and wireless charging, similar to the S21. The Samsung Galaxy S21+ ha has been priced at Rs. 81,999 for the base variant comprising of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB has been priced at Rs. 85,999.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra specifications

S21 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ (1,440×3,200 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with HDR10+ support and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate which refreshes between 10-120Hz. As a bonus, the S21 Ultra now supports the S Pen. Users can get the note-taking experience by using an existing S Pen from their Galaxy Note or purchase an S Pen meant for the Galaxy S21 Ultra with a compatible case. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 2100 SoC coupled with 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM options.

As for the optics, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra sports a quad rear camera setup including a 108-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens and OIS support, a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 3X telephoto lens and OIS support, a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/4.9 10x telephoto lens and OIS support. There’s a laser autofocus sensor for enhanced results. Further, the camera supports 100X Space Zoom. On the front, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra flaunts a 40-megapixel camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. Other Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, UWB support along with a bunch of sensors including accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, geomagnetic, gyroscope, hall, and a proximity sensor. There’s also an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone is being powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for USB PD 3.0 and Wireless Charging 2.0 for fast wired and wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has been priced at Rs. 1,05,999 for the base 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the top-end 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant has been priced at  Rs. 1,16,999.
