FiiO on Wednesday launched the Q3 THX Balanced DAC Amplifier in India, priced at Rs. 14,990/-. The amplifier features the latest audio decoding chips enclosed in an aluminium shell. The newly Q3 DAC is compatible with all Apple devices including the Sony Walkman with an adapter, and iPhones and iPad. It utilizes AKM’s new efficient AK4462 Velvet sound DAC with decoding support up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD512 and more.

The newly arrived Q3 DAC Amplifier by FiiO sport the new AAA amps patented with THX’s feed-forward error correction topology for low sound distortion. It makes utilization of the new AK4462 VELVET Sound DAC which supports the decoding of 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD51 sounds. Moving on, It retains the same flagship-grade XMOS XUF208 USB chip for faster and efficient decoding. The entire DAC is enclosed in an aluminium shell with smooth curves so that it could easily fit in your pocket.
The FiiO Q3 DAC Amplifier offers several output ports: 4.4mm, 2.5mm balanced, and even 3.5mm which makes it competent enough to connect to any kind of audio gadget. As for the ports, there’s a volume knob with an RGB indicator for an idea about sampling rates, a multifunction button which could be used for adjusting gain levels and filters with just a few taps. Additionally, there’s a dedicated button for adjusting the bass.
This new DAC from FiiO sports comes to a 100mAh battery, which the company claims could last over 10 hours with regular music decoding. Next up, The DAC can be easily charged using the USB Type-C port present on board. The included package includes a dual Dual USB Type C head cable, Long USB Type C data cable, 3.5mm line cable, 2 x Long binding strap, 2 x Short binding strap, Non-slip mat and a Storage bag.
