Uber Eats has grown considerably since its initial launch in March 2016. With this application, more than 8,000 restaurants can deliver meals in less than 30 minutes, in 60 French agglomerations. This was possible thanks to the courier partners who roam every day these agglomerations by bicycle. The safety of the deliverers ‘ movements is a priority, said the company.Uber EatsUber Eats has already set up sessions that come back on road safety, highway code, bicycle signage, and mandatory equipment. In case of an incident, a dedicated team is available 24 hours, 7 days a week in order to assist the person who contacts them. Uber Eats has also put in place partnerships offering suitable equipment for delivery as reflective jackets to European high visibility standards and wants to go further with the partnership proposed with Cosmo connected. Cosmo Bike is connected via Bluetooth to indicate when turning right or left by using a remote control onto the handlebar.

Cosmo Bike has several options for securing movements:

  • Blinkers to indicate when turning right or left
  • Brake light: to indicate deceleration at eye level
  • Tail light: a continuous light to be seen at all times under all circumstances
  • Warning light: warns other road users of a potential hazard

“We are delighted to be able to offer this partnership with Cosmo Connected to all courier partners who use the Uber Eats application. The safety of couriers is our priorities and this connected solution perfectly meets the visibility and safety needs of the courier partners.”Bastien Pahus, director of Operations couriers, Uber Eats France.
