Lenovo, who announced the new additions to their Legion line-up with new Legion laptops, Monitors, Gaming Mouse, and more earlier today has now announced new X1 Carbon and Lenovo X1 Carbon at the CES 2019. This is the 7th generation of Lenovo X1 Carbon and 4th generation of ThinkPad X1 Yoga.
Lenovo X1 Carbon (7th gen)
The 7th generation X1 Carbon will be available with a visible carbon fiber weave top cover. The flagship Windows 10 notebook, X1 Carbon model comes with a 4K Dolby Vision display and is made up of carbon fiber which makes it the world’s lightest commercial 14-inch notebook. It comes with a 14-inch display with options including a 500 nit, 10 bit, 4K Dolby Vision panel, or a new 400 nit FHD display. The X1 Carbon weighs just 2.4 pounds (1.08kg). It features a Dolby Atmos Speaker System with two top-firing tweeters and two down-firing woofers deliver a more realistic.
Further, the laptop features four far-field microphones and the machine is digital assistant ready, users voice commands will be easily understood, no matter if you are using Cortana in Windows 10 or Amazon Alexa for PCs. The company says that this laptop can offer up to 15-hours of battery life and there is support for LTE-A Wireless WAN which will power through the biggest of file transfers. It also supports CAT 16 LTE. It is powered by upto the 8th generation Intel Core processors.
ThinkPad X1 Yoga (4th gen)
ThinkPad notebooks are one of the most durability and reliability laptops out in the market. Lenovo has created a thinner, lighter, and smaller design than the previous generation ThinkPad X1 Yoga, while maintaining the rugged quality that allows this to be a do anything, anywhere. It comes with a premium keyboard, display options, Dolby Atmos Speaker System, far-field mics, and global LTE-A capability. It weighs only 2.99 pounds (1.35kg), the X1 Yoga is 11% thinner than the previous generation at 15.2mm. The ThinkPad X1 Yoga comes with a narrower bezel, reinforced precision machined aluminum chassis in Iron Grey color
X1 Yoga now supports all docking solutions, including ThinkPad Mechanical Dock. It also now supports ThinkPad Pen Pro to offer multi-mode pen input.
Both the laptops come with up to 16GB of RAM, up to 2TB SSD, 2 USB 3.1 ports, HDMI out, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Pricing and Availability
- ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available from June 2019, with an expected starting price of $17,094
- ThinkPad X1 Yoga will be available from June 2019, with an expected starting price of $19,294
