OnePlus 6 Open Beta

OnePlus is now rolling out the Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 6 which will bring the latest Android 9 Pie. The new version brings brand new UI, new Android Pie gesture navigation, and many other features. Also, OnePlus adding a layer of their Oxygen OS features like supported accent color customization, new DND mode with adjustable settings, Gaming Mode 3.0, and more.

      • Added text notification mode
      • Added notification for 3rd party calls

Also, OnePlus has stated that there are few known issues with this update.

Here are some of the known issues

  • Some applications may not function as expected when running on this beta version
  • Google Pay service is not working
  • Google Play Store might show “Device is not Certified by Google”

OnePlus 6Steps to upgrade from Stable official version to Android P Beta version

  • Download the ROM upgrade package from the specified server [HERE]
  • Copy ROM upgrade package to the mobile phone storage
  • Settings -> system updates -> top right corner icon -> local upgrade -> click on the installation package -> immediately upgrade -> system upgrade to 100%
  • Select Reboot system now.
  • Update successfully!!!

Steps to upgrade from Developer Preview version to Android P Beta version

  • Download the latest ROM upgrade package from the specified server [HERE].
  • Copy ROM upgrade package to the mobile phone storage
  • Settings -> system updates -> top right corner icon -> local upgrade -> click on the installation package -> immediately upgrade -> system upgrade to 100%
  • Press the power button and choose to shut down
  • Select Reboot system now
  • Press the power button + volume down to enter recovery mode
  • Select Wipe data/factory reset, click power, select yes, confirm
  • Select Reboot system now
  • Update successfully!!!
