Blackberry KEY2

Optiemus Infracom Limited, BlackBerry brand licensee today unveiled the newest keyboard-based handset for the India market. The company today launched the successor to the last year’s KeyOne in India today. The new Blackberry Key2 was announced back in June and was made available in Canada and US market. As seen on the previous flagship, this also comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard, which is very rare in the current generation of smartphones. The physical QWERTY keyboard is one thing which sets Blackberry apart from the competition, and there are a bunch of folks who still love to use this QWERTY keyboard.

The Blackberry KEY2 sports a 4.5-inch (1620*1080) IPS LCD 3:2 aspect ratio display with corning gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered by an Octacore Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, Adreno 610 GPU. It will come with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage and MicroSD card support up to 256GB. The device is backed by a 3360mAh battery with Quick charge 3.0 support. KEY2 is running on Android 8.1 Oreo.

In the optics department, the Blackberry KEY2 features a 12MP+12MP rear dual camera setup, the primary 12MP camera comes with f/1.8 aperture, 1.28µm pixel size, Dual PDAF and the 12 MP secondary camera comes with 1.0µm pixel size, a f/2.6 aperture with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash. It also features an 8MP front-facing screen flash. The Fingerprint sensor is located at the front as the spacebar, as the device comes, physical QWERTY keyboard, below the display. Other features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS, A-GPS, magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
