LG V30 Plus

LG V30+ is a great flagship comeback by the company.

Recently showcased at Berlin IFA, 2017, LG V30+ is finally all set to touch Indian shores. This is the brand’s second flagship for the year and the LG V30 series gives stiff competition to the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Galaxy Note 8, Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and so forth. Although the phones are very similar, there are a few distinctive features: LG V30 comes with a 64GB storage; while the LG V30 + comes with a 128GB model. That being said, the LG V30+ will be making its way in India on December 13, at an event in New Delhi.

To recap, the LG V30+ sports a 6-inch Quad-HD POLED display (2880 x 1440 pixels resolution), with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Powering on the latest processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, the phone is coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage, further expandable up to 2TB via micro SD card. The battery is backed up by 3300 mAh and will support Quick Charge 3.0 feature for fast charging. We are hoping that the phone will run on the latest version of Android Nougat, but it seems like, it will come with Android Nougat 7.1.2 out of the box with LG’s UX 6.0+, which comes with a plethora of customizations, most famous being the “Floating Bar”.

Heading to the photography department, it comprises of a dual camera setup – 16MP (f/1.6) + 13MP (f/1.9) cameras and a 5MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera. Furthermore, it also supports wireless charging feature and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The only setback is that the company followed the footsteps of Apple, Google, Huawei and Lenovo by skipping the headphone jack. It did counterbalance by retaining the Hi-Fi Quad DAC and integrating the audio system with Bang and Olufsen for seamless and smoother music experience when the earplugs are plugged in.

The LG V30+ is known to be more of an audio powerhouse. However, it does take care of everything else on papers. That being said, let us know what you think about the device? The pricing is expected to be around INR 50000 and we will confirm that tomorrow after the unveiling of the smartphone.
