Is the Sony Xperia ZG Compact going the obsolete way?
Sony is known for making Xperia Compact phones with high-end specifications. That was also the case with the newly launched, Xperia XZ1 Compact, which came out in August, this year, with top of the line specifications. Now, the Xperia ZG Compact makes a bizarre appearance once again, out of nowhere. The first time, it came to light was in August and now, it turned up again this week. Weirdly enough, if you look below at the GeekBench image, it makes no sense as the phone is specced to be old-fashioned.
As per the listing, it suggests, the device is expected to house a 4.6 inch IPS LCD display and will be powered by a backdated Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, which was released way back in 2014. Moving ahead, it will be coupled with 2GB RAM and will be running on Android Nougat v7.1.1 out of the box.
If by any chance, this is true, the Sony Xperia ZG Compact is doomed to fail. However, the brand is unlikely to launch a device with such antiquated enumerations, simply because the Snapdragon 810 had some major flaws – battery heating and freezing issues. In our opinion, it could be a prank or some false news listed by GeekBench.
What do you think about the leaks of the weird Compact device by Sony? Should the phone makes it way in the market and if it does, would you buy it? Leave a comment and let us know. For all your daily dose of techjection, stay tuned and keep following us!
