NPCI’s UPI crosses 10 million transaction mark in June

Indian smartphone maker Karbonn has partnered with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). As a result of this partnership, Karbonn has announced a new smartphone that comes with BHIM app integration, the Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G. By taking this step, Karbonn will contribute towards Government of India’s ‘Digital India’ initiative and creating a less-cash economy. The smartphone is priced at INR 5,290.

Using this smartphone user can transact digitally without the fear of losing banking information or money. The K9 Kavach 4G is also equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor to secure not only banking and monetary transactions but also to offer complete safety of the device, you can lock applications, capture image, and smart finger touch dialing using the fingerprint scanner.K9 Kavach 4G

Let’s go through the specs of the device – it comes with a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM with microSD card support. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with a 2300mAh battery. In the optics department, it gets a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash and sports a 5-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, BT 4.1 and a 3.5mm audio jack.
