Nextbit, the creator of Cloud storage focused smartphone, the Nextbit Robin has been acquired by Razer which is a Gaming peripheral maker. Also, Razer has brought onboard the management and employees of the Nextbit. Financial details of the deal aren’t known yet.
According to Razer, Nextbit will operate as a standalone business unit under its own management and apart from the ongoing business of its parent company. Furthermore, Nextbit will continue with product support and software updates for its Robin smartphone.
Also, CEO of Nextbit Tom Moss said “While we have stopped selling Robin and all accessories through our official channels, we are still dedicated to supporting all of you. We will continue to fulfill warranties for 6 more months. And as promised, we will continue to provide software updates and security patches through February 2018“.
