VoLTE has become one of the main feature buyers look for when they are buying a smartphone. Most of the smartphones which were launched in the latter half of 2016 had this feature out of the box. Asus Zenfone 3 series smartphones which were launched in August 2016 is now receiving OTA update which enables VoLTE support.
Asus is one of the few companies who are updating their older devices to be compatible wth VoLTE, Oneplus has already updated OnePlus 2 to support VoLTE. The Asus smartphones that are getting this VoLTE feature are:
Zenfone 3 Deluxe 5.7″, Zenfone 3 5.2”, Zenfone 3 5.5”, Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Max 5.2″, Zenfone 3 Max 5.5”, Zenfone 3S Max 5.2″. Zenfone 3 Ultra will be offered VoLTE soon.

All the smartphones launched today comes with Full Metal body and sports a Fingerprint sensor. The Asus Zenfone 3 5.2-inch version with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 21,999 and the 5.5-inch version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 27,999. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe with 64GB and Snapdragon 820 is priced at Rs. 49,999 and the higher end 256GB storage version with Snapdragon 821 is priced at Rs. 62,999. The ZenFone 3 Ultra is priced at Rs. 49,999. The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser is priced at INR 18,999.
Besides the Zenfone 3 range, ASUS has also rolled out VoLTE support for other select smartphones. These include Zenfone Max, Zenfone 2 Laser, Zenfone Go 5.0 LTE. The OTA Update for Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL) will be available soon, as well. Asus users can follow these steps to check for the update on their devices, go to Settings > About > System updates, and tap to check for updates.
