Samsung Galaxy S Series, it’s flagship device series has always been known for the most sought after Android smartphones. The Galaxy S series smartphones are launched in first quarter of the year followed by the Note series smartphone, later in the year. According to @evleaks, this time around, Samsung’s upcoming smartphone Galaxy S8 will be announced on 28th March, which is almost a month after MWC 2017.

Also, Blass has tweeted an image of the Samsung Galaxy S8 that offers a clear look at the phone from front and black. Along with the picture, Blass also shared some specs of the device, which includes 2 versions, one with 5.8-inch Display and the other with larger 6.2-inch Display. Both the devices will come with the curved display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Galaxy S8 will come with pressure sensitive display similar to Apple’s 3D Touch.

From the leaked image, it’s noticeable that Samsung is ditching the home button, a first for Samsung smartphones. The button( comes with a fingerprint sensor) has been moved to the back next to the rear camera, something like what we have seen in LG’s flagship G series smartphones. According to the leaks, the device will stick to a 12MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front shooter just like the most popular Android smartphone of 2016 the Galaxy S7. The device is also set to have iris-scanning ability as seen on the infamous Note 7.

The device will launch with Android Nougat out of the box and will get Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Samsung Exynos SoC depending on what region you are from. In terms of performance, S8 will be 11% faster than the Galaxy S7 overall, with 23 percent faster graphics processing, but still 20% more energy efficient.

On battery part, the smartphone will get a 3000mAh and 3500mAh for the 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch respectively. And finally, will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB is the base model when it comes to internal storage, with MicroSD card support up to 256GB.
