The Moto Z was announced with the introduction of Moto Mods in June 2016 at the Lenovo Tech World, San Francisco. And, today at IFA Berlin, Lenovo announced the Moto Z Play with a new Moto Mod called Hasselblad Mod which offers 10X optical zoom and the ability to save images in RAW format.
Coming to the Specs of the Moto Z, this device is a mid-ranger and will probably replace the Moto X Play line-up. It comes with an Octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. It flaunts a 5.5″ Super AMOLED Display with Full HD resolution. It comes with 16MP rear camera with PDAF, laser AutoFocus and LED Flash. The front camera comes with a 5MP sensor along with a LED Flash.

The Moto Z Play will come in Silver, Black Slate, White, Fine Gold and Sugar White colours and is priced at US $449.99 (Rs. 30,100 approx and 499 Euros in the European countries. The smartphone will be available globally starting this month. In the US it will be available on Motorola.com and Verizon as Moto Z Play Droid Edition for $408 ($17/month) on September 8.
The Hasselblad Mod
Moto Z series of smartphones come with a modular design and have attachments or are called Moto Mods. These Modules can be attached and detached via a 16 magical pin at the rear of the device. Moto has announced a new Mod offering with the legendary Hasselblad cameras. This Mod enhances the camera quality, it offers 10X Optical zoom and comes with the ability to capture Raw images. The Hasselblad camera mod will cost $299.
