At Google I/O this year the company announced two new apps for communication. One was called as DUO, a video chatting app and other was ALLO, which is a messaging app with built in assistant to it. Today, Google has started rolling out the DUO app. It’s still showing as “pre-registration” for us right now, but will roll out soon!

Duo

Duo is 1-to-1 video calling app available for Android and iOS. Duo takes the complexity out of video calling, so that you can be together in the moment wherever you are. It has a simple  interface to start with and no separate account is required, so you can sign up in just a few steps.

All calls are End To End Encrypted in Duo. The feature Knock-Knock sets this apart from competition. Knock-Knock, gives preview of the person who’s calling even before you pick the call. So that you can see who’s calling and what they are doing.

Give your friends a wave with Duo! Google is beginning to roll out Duo for Android and iOS today, and it will be live worldwide in the next few days.
