At an event in China yesterday, Huawei unveiled its latest smartphone Honor 8. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup, similar to company’s own Honor V8 and Honor 6 plus. The device is priced at 1999 yuan (Rs. 20050 approx) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 2299 yuan (Rs. 23,050 approx) for the 4GB RAM with 32GB storage and 2499 yuan (Rs. 25,070 approx) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device comes in Midnight Black, Sakura Pink, Sapphire Blue, Pearl White and Sunrise Gold colours. The registration for the sale starts from July 19th.

Coming to the specifications of Honor 8, it comes with a 5.2 inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 950 SoC (Octa-Core) clocked at 2.3Ghz and coupled with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. The device comes in 3 different storage options, 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 64G ROM. The smartphone runs on EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The phone is packed with 3000mAh battery with Quick charge support. The camera on the rear as mentioned before is a Dual 12 megapixel shooter with with dual-tone LED flash and aperture of f/2.2. There is a 8 megapixel camera on the front. As seen on all the Honor line up devices the Fingerprint sensor is located on the rear.

The device comes with other features such as Infrared sensor, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C. The device consists of a Hybrid slot. The storage can be expanded via MicroSD card upto 128GB. Honor 8 has 7.45mm slim body with metal frame and glass at the back.
