Lava Mobiles recently launched its new smartphone Lava V5 at a price of Rs.11,299. The smartphone was made available online via ebay and physical retail stores from Feb 10th onwards.
The Lava V5 is focussed on Photography. The device comes with a 13 MP Rear Camera with Samsung 3M2 ISOCELL sensor and PDAF (Fast Auto Focus 0.18 sec), 5 layer Largan™ Lens with blue glass filter, F2.0 Aperture with dual LED flash.
The front facing camera is a 8 MP Selfie Camera, 4 layer Largan™ Lens with 84 degree wide angle lens, F2.2 Aperture with LED flash for great low light performance. Some of the other camera features are : Beauty-fi Software for face sliming, smoothing, eye widening and whitening; Pic Focus (focuses on a subject and blurs the background); Wide Selfie (panaroma mode for the front camera); Night Pro (true color reproduction in low light); GIF Mode (live photos)
Coming to the other Specs of Lava V5, it sports a 5.5″ IPS, Full Lamination 720p HD display with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, 267 PPI.
On the connectivity front, the device features Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, W-CDMA 900, 2100MHz HSPA+ (3G) Dual Band LTE 1800 MHz FDD, 2300 MHz TDD Data: Cat 4, DL 150Mbps, UL 50 Mbps Voice: CSFB (supported), VoLTE (FOTA Update), Dual SIM : 4G + 4G* (only one SIM slot can be 4G at a time); Bluetooth V4.0; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; GLONASS, Assisted GPS Support and Micro-USB.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.3Ghz 64-Bit MediaTek Quad-Core processor. It has 16GB of On-board Storage with 3GB of DDR3, storage can be expanded via microSD card upto 32GB. It is a Dual sim 4G enabled device running on Android 5.1. The company has promised Android 6.x Marshmallow update will be rolled out soon. It packs a 3000 mAh Li-Polymer battery, that should last 260 hours 57 minutes of Standby time and 14 hours 28 minutes 3G Talktime as per the claims by Lava Mobiles. Dimensions of the device are 151.9 x 76.7 x 8.3mm and it weighs 153.2 grams.
The box contents of the device include – Battery, Headset, Data Cable, Handset, Charger, User Manual, Warranty Card, USB Cable and a Screen Guard.
