Ever since the launch of Honor 7 in China earlier this year in the month of June, the Honor 7 smartphone was highly anticipated by the consumers in India. And here are a few conversations, I had with the fans and users who are excited about the Honor 7’s India launch:

As we were a part of a select media extravaganza in Goa last week. We got a chance to play with the device and here is our first look of the Honor 7:
Moving on to the pricing – Honor 7 has been launched for the price of Rs. 22,999 for the 16GB variant. Quite frankly we were expecting other variants to launch in India.
The device comes pre-loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop with the homegrown EMUI 3.1. Honor 7 has a very sturdy aluminium alloy and sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) display with a pixel density of 424 ppi. It’s powered by 64-bit octa-core Kirin 935 processor and has 3GB of RAM plus the ARM’s Mali-T628 GPU. Both the 16GB & 64GB variants get a microSD card slot, with expandability up to 128GB.

Other than the solid built and the fingerprint scanner, you will notice the 20MP Rear camera of the Honor 7. We used the camera and were very impressed with the phase detection auto-focus, that lets a user auto-focus in 0.1 seconds. It’s a Sony IMX230 sensor with a f/2.0 aperture, 6-lens module, and sapphire glass protection on top. To keep up with the 20MP front camera, the Honor 7 gets a 8-megapixel front-facing wide-angle camera with a f/2.4 aperture.
Honor 7 has NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and 4G LTE. It measures 143.2×71.9×8.5mm and weighs 157 grams. The Honor 7 has a 3100mAh battery with a quick charging feature that charges the smartphone from zero to full within 1 hour 25 minutes.
Overall, the Honor 7 combines a premium build with impressive specs and an even more impressive price tag.
