Indian Cellular Association has signed a MoU with the Institute for Information Industry, Taiwan to give further boost to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Smart Bharat’.
Institute for Information Industry (III) Taiwan – the global leader in digital technology deployment and information society programs – will provide its expertise to ICA’s ongoing digital India initiative – ‘Action Centre for Smart and Broadband Bharat (ACSBB)’.
The MoU between the two bodies with this objective was signed during ICA’s National President Mr Pankaj Mohindroo’s recent visit to Taipei.
“Our partnership with the global leader in digital technology deployment and information society programs will speed up swift realization of PM Modi’s vision of Smart Bharat,” said Mr Pankaj Mohindroo.
The Parties agree to make reasonable endeavors to co-operate with each other, in the domain of National Optical Fibre Network, Smart Cities, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine to Machine Interface (M2M) and other technologies under the Digital India Program in India.
“This is one more of our initiatives towards unlocking country’s digital potential while strengthening Government’s ambitious ‘Digital India’ program,” added Mr Mohindroo.
It may be noted that ICA has a running program for realization of ‘Digital India’ vision under the aegis of ‘Action Centre for Smart and Broadband Bharat (ACSBB)’ which is a not-for-profit body created by ICA solely for the purpose of giving shape to ‘Digital India’ vision. ICA believes that a digitalized economy will bring speed and efficiency in public delivery system while uplifting its humungous population to a new era of prosperity.
ACSBB has a large pool of digital experts and industry leaders who are lending their expertise pro bono in the area of e-governance, technology selection & deployment and creating social inclusion plans and works closely with various government stakeholders.
The new partnership will give further fillip to ACSBB.
