Logitech Bluetooth Adaptor

Since I was a teenager, I loved to throw parties or be the DJ at home parties I was invited to. Soon the infatuation of basic mixing of tracks by connecting 2 Sony discman’s became an obsession and I invested in Pioneer CDJ1000. No! I never turned into a pro, it was always a hobby and still remains the same.

The only difference now, its DJAY app on my iPhone and iPad and the home theatre connected to it. Yep, CD’s and LP’s are long dead, followed by all the cable and wires we use to connect to bigger speakers. Since I moved my music collection to lossless music files on my iPhone and Mac, I had to let go off my home theatre and settle for portable bluetooth speakers. But deep down, I always missed the charm of playing my sets on the home theatre. It was definitely a trade-off for me!

I could have bought a home theatre with BT or Air Play connectivity but giving away my 5.1 Sony sound master was something I wasn’t ready for. Of course, I didnt give up and searched relentlessly to find something I call the ‘Small Wonder’.

The ‘Small Wonder’ is Logitech bluetooth audio adapter. Here’s what my small wonders offers:

Multi-point Bluetooth Technology

Connect more than one device and stream your favorite music from your smartphone or tablet to your speakers.

Simple Setup

Just press the convenient pairing button to connect your smartphone/tablet and you’re ready to listen.

Automatic re-pairing

You don’t waste time worrying about the connection as it features automatic re-pairing.

Works with most speakers

The logitech Bluetooth® Audio Adapter can connect to any speaker with a 3.5mm or RCA connection

Superior acoustics

Don’t compromise on sound. The Bluetooth® Audio Adapter is tuned at Logitech labs to deliver high-quality acoustics.

Long wireless range

Stream and control your music with a reliable connection from up to 15 meters (50 feet).

But as not everything is perfect. The only thing I’d like to see in the next iteration of the Logitech Bluetooth Adapter is the ability to play on battery. It would mean that I can charge it and take it to a friends car which has Aux but no BT support.

And if you are like me, then here are nitty gritty Technical Specifications:

It has Bluetooth 3.0
  • Supported Bluetooth Profile: A2DP
  • Bluetooth Operating range: up to 50 feet / 15 meters line of sight
  • Auxiliary inputs: 2
  • Controls: Bluetooth Connect
Product dimensions (L x W x H)
  • 50 mm x 50 mm x 23 mm
  • 0.16ft x 0.16ft x 0.07ft

It’s been a month of using the Logitech BT and I am back as the homegrown DJ throwing happening gigs 🙂
