Canon India Pvt. Ltd are set to redefine the Indian projector market with the launch of its nine LV and XEED series projectors equipped with unmatched advanced technology. The new series will provide market-leading image quality to fulfil the diverse needs of customers like better projection of images of precise colors; lower operational costs, ease-of-use and energy efficiency.
Mr. Yasuhiko Hoshino, Senior General Manager, Canon Inc., “We are excited to bring our globally leading projectors equipped with world-class technology and user-friendly features to customers in India. The projectors offer quality and brightness along with lower operating costs enabling both businesses and end-users to deliver optimum results at a minimum cost.”
Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India Pvt. Ltd, said, “Projection requirements of Indian customers have evolved over the years. The new Canon projectors are equipped with high quality optics to cater to such needs. We will be reaching out to potential customers across all the major metros and aim to capture 10% market share by 2017.”
Canon has also introduced its proprietary LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology, used in XEED series, which make possible projections that are free of the “lattice effect,” a phenomenon in which a faint grid pattern appears over the projected image.
The XEED series offers picture by picture for high quality image projection and USB projection further compliment the trademark promise of Canon. The projectors are targeted at sectors like large corporate, education, medical and government. The XEED series of projectors can also be leveraged by the simulation industry
Canon is proud to introduce path breaking eco-friendly features, which include an enhanced lamp lighting system and a standby mode consuming only as low as 0.7W (In Network Off Mode) thereby significantly reducing CO2 emissions. These features add to environmental reservation as well as help in reducing running cost.
The LV series are equipped to offer lower cost of ownership due to longer lamp life and air filter-free design. Its improved image quality, versatile connectivity, simple and easy installation offers world-class experience to customers.
Canon will be focusing on providing product training to its employees and channel partners. This will in turn help them to educate customers and spread awareness about the products. Canon has signed Ingram Micro as the National Distributor for volume products and will tie-up with AV integrated solution providers for high-end projectors. Canon will also have channel partner incentive program based on the demos.
The series launched are LV-WX300, LV-X300, LV-S300, LV-WX300ST and LV-X300ST and the XEED WUX450 and the XEED WX520, XEED WUX400ST and the XEED WX450ST.
LV Series is the portable range of projectors utilizing DLP® BrilliantColor ™ display technology to deliver rich, realistic color, 3000 lumens of brightness, a 2300:1 contrast ratio for pure black with depth and dimension and filter-free operation. The projector in the Eco mode lowers the cost of ownership and helps reduce power consumption by approximately 20 percent while also lowering fan noise. These new Canon projectors are also 3D-ready when combined with an optional DLP-Link System and other accessories.
The XEED series have inbuilt Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology which produces fine, detailed images without the lattice effect that is sometimes seen on other projectors. LCOS technology and constant brightness (between T-edge to W-edge at zoom) is unique to Canon meeting users’ needs in various situations.
In addition to delivering exceptional brightness and high-resolution performance, the XEED-ST series incorporate a short-throw shift able lens which is capable of projecting a wide vertical range of approximately 75 % to 77 % in addition to a horizontal range of approximately 10 % and that makes possible effortless installation in a variety of medium-range usage environments, including classrooms and lecture halls.
The new series of projectors are ranging from MRP 40,750 to MRP 5,00,000.
