Sony India launched the much awaited Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones in India today. The devices showcased at IFA 2014 have been launched at the price of: Xperia Z3 for INR 51,990 and Xperia Z3 Compact for INR 44,900.
The Sony Xperia Z3 comes with 5.2-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact has a 4.6-inch display that supports HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels.
The Xperia Z3 is powered by Snapdragon 801 chipset that includes a quad-core processor running at 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 graphics. It is equipped with 3 GB of RAM. It is available in onboard memory options of 16 GB and 32 GB.
The Xperia Z3 Compact is also powered by the same Snapdragon 801 chipset. However, it features 2 GB of RAM and only one onboard memory option of 16 GB. Both the handsets supports up to 64 GB of microSD on their external storage.
Both the Xperia smartphones feature 20.7 MP Sony Exmor RS rear shooter. The Xperia Z3 features 2.2 MP front-facing camera and the Xperia Z3 Compact comes with 2 MP frontal camera.
Both Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact support connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Both also come with Android v4.4.4 KitKat.
When it comes to battery, the Xperia Z3 is packed with non-removable 3,100 mAh battery whereas the Xperia Z3 Compact houses a non-removable battery of 2,600 mAh capacity.
