LAVA International recently revealed Lava Iris 504Q+ in the Indian market. Lava Iris 504Q+ is the successor to the highly successful Iris 504Q which was launched in June last year and comes packed with latest software features and hardware components that offer a great  user experience.

Iris 504Q+ takes the gesture motion functionality, the USP of its predecessor Iris 504Q, to the next level. It offers enhanced functionality based on gesture motion and voice control. A user can now captuIris 504Q+ Sidere images just by saying “Cheese” or “Capture” from both front and rear camera using the voice command feature. The intuitive gesture motion functionality allows the users to interact with the phone with just a swipe of the hand in the air. It can be used for clicking photos, changing tracks on the music player and video player, switching between screens, tuning FM channels and browsing entertainment gallery on the smart phone.
Its 10 MP rear autofocus camera is powered by Sony Exmor RS Sensor having sensor size of 1/3.2 inch allowing enhanced lowlight performance. Sony Exmor RS Sensor has bigger pixel size of 1.4 µm ensuring enhanced image quality.  The camera comes with features like High Dynamic Range (HDR), Geo-tagging, touch focus, vertical and horizontal panorama capture and face detection. Iris 504Q+ also sports a 2MP front camera for video calling facility. 


Adding oomph and style quotient, Iris 504Q+ shows off a light and sleek design with 7.9mm slimness and a metallic back cover. It brings HD experience (1280 * 720 pixels) on a 5 inch IPS screen with OGS display technology promising an excellent viewing experience. Iris 504Q+ comes with a highly scratch-resistant and tough Asahi Dragontrail glass — considered   to be six times stronger than normal glass used conventionally. The display comes with full lamination that eliminates air gaps between LCD and glass making it looks perfectly black in sleep mode and thus giving the device an exquisite look. 

The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along-with Mali 400 MP2 @500MHz Graphics Unit. It is a dual SIM phone and offers dual standby capability.

Lava Iris 504Q+ packs in 1GB RAM and an internal memory of 8GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card, giving users enough space for applications & multimedia content. It also sports a large 2000mAh battery which provides ample back up for multimedia playback, stand by and talk time. 

Iris 504Q+ comes with pre-loaded social networking apps like BBM, WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. The smartphone also includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Assisted-GPS, and 3G connectivity options with video calling apart from EDGE, GPRS and USB connectivity.

Priced at Rs. 13990, Lava Iris 504Q+ is available in Grey and Silver colours. It also comes with an intelligent flip cover that puts the phone automatically in sleep mode ensuring reduced battery consumption.

The Unbiased Verdict: This is a great product by Lava International. By launching the Iris 504Q+, a smartphone with  10MP camera with Exmor RS Sensor, intuitive gesture motion and voice command functionality, for only Rs. 13990/-. It will get people to start thinking whether they should spend their money on the likes of Moto G, Panasonic P31 and Samsung’s army of devices at the same price point.
