Yesterday we were at PVR bluO, where the team in association with Lufthansa, inaugurated the fifth edition of the country’s biggest amateur Corporate Bowling Tournament at PVR bluO, Gurgaon.
In its fifth remarkable edition, Lufthansa Pin Strike has magnified in terms of its scope and participation; this time the tournament will see more than 125 teams from the Capital / NCR Region, in comparison to 100 teams which participated last year. Spreading over 05 weeks, the tournament will be held every Thursday evening and a few Tuesdays too, starting from today. The top teams competing for the finale at the end of the tournament, on September 26th, 2013 will win the grand prize of ‘Return tickets to Europe’ courtesy Lufthansa Airlines. Besides these, the runner up and other participants also have exciting goodies and gifts from multiple associate brands to look forward to.

Besides Lufthansa, other prestigious brands like Renault, Woodland, Sahara NRG, Universal Music, Sports Fit, Radio Mirchi, Sawadhee Spa, Qwikcilver and Mc Cain etc have associated with the Corporate Bowling Tournament. These brands see immense value and the apt connect with the tournament. The tournament in ‘League format’ will have the top 16 – 20 teams participating over a period of 04 weeks to qualify for the finals. Amongst the other participants are Samsung, HCL, Make my Trip, Fidelity, Sapient and many more. An excited and energized environment was witnessed at the inauguration of the month-long competition where the participants cheered for the tournament. The media partner present for the event was 98.3 Radio Mirchi. In the first week of the tournament, both Lufthansa and PVR had their teams fight for the spot besides 22 other teams.
The tournament was concluded with an electrifying performance by Nasya, a leading Sufi Band which has been capturing immense popularity in the genre.
Also as a surprise package was the coveted star cast of ‘Grand Masti’ movie. It was a great evening with the likes of Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi, Ritesh Deshmukh and the leading ladies of the movie.
In the end PVR bluO would like to wish all the participants’ great luck as the competition will become tougher yet an interesting match to watch, in the coming weeks ahead.
