HTC One – The wait is over!

Well said HTC, but the wait is over but for how long? With the Sony Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy 4 coming within a month, how long is it going to stand apart.

We have always appreciated the HTC hardware, ergonomics and of course the Android overlay innovation has also been tremendous with HTC sense but every Android manufacture just falters when compared to Samsung.

It’s strange that people prefer ‘plasticy’ Samsung over the beautiful all metal Sony and HTC phones. But the tide is where success is and for now it’s Samsung looming large.

That said now let’s visit the ‘hero’ not HTC Hero but the HTC One(Superhero):

The front is just perfect with 4.7 inch, Full HD 1080p, 468 PPI display and two big speakers grills and HTC BoomSound™ for Sharper, richer, louder sound. On the average smartphone, sharing music or a video with friends is a frustrating experience. A tiny speaker will tame even the most ferocious track. But the new HTC One’s BoomSound™ changes all that. Dual frontal stereo speakers powered by built-in amplifiers deliver bigger sound with less distortion and more detail.

The back has what HTC claims as the Ultra-pixel camera and the Sense Voice Microphone. With Sense Voice you get call clarity—even in a crowd. The world doesn’t include a volume knob. So talking on the phone in any loud, crowded environment can be a challenge. The new HTC One solves that problem with Sense Voice. It includes dual built-in microphones that detect loud ambient noise and will then dynamically boost the in-call voice to compensate. Hurrah for clarity.

The Sides have been chiselled to perfection thats refines design,  gives a rugged build. All thanks to the full metal body. Zero gap construction. And tapered edges that offer a slim but satisfying grip. The new HTC One is phone design that doesn’t compromise.

Now moving onto the soft side of it, well the OS overlay i.e. HTC Sense is far more superior from the competition (TouchWiz etc).

And this time HTC claims they have taken a leap forward by introducing BlinkFeed -> Your home screen. Your world. With HTC BlinkFeed™ on your phone, you’re never out of touch with your world. All your favorite content is streamed live onto one screen. If it’s happening now, you’ll find it on your home screen.

Also a crazy camera feature called -> HTC Zoe™: Your photo gallery brought to life. Capturing a moment takes more than one image. That’s why the new HTC One includes the HTC UltraPixel Camera. Press the shutter and the HTC One automatically captures up to 20 photos and a 3-second video—a picture that’s alive. So your entire photo album becomes a living, breathing gallery.

Lastly this one is for all the couch potatoes like me 😉

Your interactive TV guide. Tired of remotes taking up valuable couch space? The new HTC One is ready to help you channel surf. With Sense TV, all it takes is a few simple steps and you’ll be able to select TV channels, access program guides, adjust audio and more with your HTC One. Find your favourite shows, and it will notify you when they’re on. Take control of your TV experience with your phone.
